Theres Hope for America!

I am a proud patriot and “Born Again Child of God”. I love America and I thank God every day for the privilege of being born in America.

America is still despite all the problems she is facing the greatest nation on the face of the earth.

God’s blessings are evident all throughout Americas glorious history.

The writer of Psalm in 33:12 sums it up well.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.”

Sadly many in America have taken these blessings for granted. We have turned our back on God.

We have tuned our back on Him in our schools, turning our schools into socialist and humanist indoctrination camps.

We have turned our back on Him in our homes leaving Hollywood to train our children in the ways of the world. They teach our children how to live dysfunctional lives.

We have turned our back on Him in our Churches preaching a watered down Gospel that tickles the ears and has no power.

Many churches of become a social club where we come to hear a feel good social Gospel.

We have turned our back on God in our government. We have laws that allow for the murder of unborn babies. We have laws that allow same sex marriage.

We have a congress president and a supreme court that are out of touch with our Christian heritage. .

It would do us well to remember the words of Ronald Reagan.

“If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under. “

Is there still hope for America? Can she survive the departure from her Godly foundation and heritage?

Will America survive the onslaught of the fiery darts of liberalism, socialism and humanism being hurled at her daily by Satan?

These darts of the enemy are ripping apart the very soul of America?

Yes there is hope for America.

It will not start in the White House or Congress. It will not begin with Republicans, Democrats or a third party.

It will not begin in the Supreme Court.

Americas hope will come only from an old fashion revival of “Born Again Christians”

It must start in the hearts of each person in America who name Christ as Savior and Lord.

It must begin in the homes of the American family. We must teach and train our Children about a loving and Holy God.

We must teach them there are absolute truths. There is a right and wrong.

We must teach our children that God loves all men, but hates their sins.

Preachers must stand in the pulpit and preach with power and authority. They must preach the whole counsel of God’s word.

Yes there is hope America.

It is a four step process.

Hear From God and Listen and Heed His words.
Seek His face daily seek His will for our lives.
Pray daily.
Repent. Turn from our sins!

If we will do these four things daily God will send a revival that will sweep through our great nation like a raging wild fire.

Will thy not revive us again O Lord!

Fighting To Win In Afghanistan!

Are we fighting to win the war in Afghanistan?

I know that our men and women in uniform are fighting to win. They are the best trained military in the world. They are volunteers serving our nation in a time of war.

They are the best of the best. They are our sons, daughters our husbands and wives.
They are our mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters.

These are the men women who make America great. They are the ones who defend our freedoms.

They are serving our nation on the front lines in our war on terror.

This is a war we did not ask for or seek out.

It is a war that was declared on us by radical Islamic terrorist who hate us just because we are Americans.

They have made it clear and have left no doubt that the destruction and death of all Americans is their goal.

They fight this war in the name of “Allah” and they are willing to do anything to achieve this goal including suicide bombings.

What is the ultimate goal in the war the USA is waging in Afghanistan against terrorism?

Is it total and complete victory over terrorism? I fear it is not under the leadership of the current commander in chief.

All one has to do the come to this conclusion is look at the rules of engagement our soldiers are forced to fight under.

The following is taken from World Net Daily.

The actual Rules of Engagement are said to be classified U.S. and NATO secrets, but based on individual soldier accounts, those restrictions include the following:

No night or surprise searches.

Villagers are to be warned prior to searches.

Afghan National Army, or ANA, or Afghan National Police, or ANP, must accompany U.S. units on searches.

U.S. soldiers may not fire at insurgents unless they are preparing to fire first.

U.S. forces cannot engage insurgents if civilians are present.

Only women can search women.

Troops can fire on insurgents if they catch them placing an IED but not if insurgents walk away from where the explosives are.


Are we allowing our military to fight a war they can win, or are the limitations we are imposing on them costing us American lives?

The American military could wipe Afghanistan clean of terrorist if we would treat this like a war and allow our soilders to fight to win .

Ronald Regan said this concerning the Vietnam War.

“It's silly talking about how many years we will have to spend in the jungles of Vietnam when we could pave the whole country and put parking stripes on it and still be home by Christmas.”

The time has come for America to wage all out war on terror in Afghanistan and defeat terrorism.

If we will not allow our military to do what we know they are capable of doing it is time to bring our military home.

Abortion and the Healthcare Debate!

As the battle rages in our nation about a government take over of healthcare, one issue that has been a big part of the debate is how to handle the abortion question.

It confounds me that we would even mention abortion in the same conservation as healthcare. Abortion and healthcare are diametrically opposed to each other.

Abortion goes against the laws of God. Abortion deprives the most innocent and defenseless among us the basic right: the right to life.

This is a right that our founding fathers fought and died for.

Remember these words from the Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”.

Abortion is the taking of a human life that is designed and created by God. To take the life of an unborn child is not “healthcare”.

No matter how you dress it calling it a woman’s choice, at the end of the day abortion stops a beating heart.

The question I have is, if we allow the government to take over healthcare and provide funding for abortion, what is next? Where will stop?

A couple of years ago the subject of life and death was brought to our attention in the starvation death of a brain-damaged woman in Florida named Terri Schaivo.

Because of what that poor woman was forced to endure, people around the nation and around the world began thinking about the issues of life and death.

We in America have devalued human life. This is a scary thought.

By doing so, we may be opening the door for a government run healthcare to raid on our elderly in the nursing homes?

We may be giving the government access to the mentally ill and the deformed.

Are we going to allow the federal government to pick and choose who gets care and who gets a needle for a quick and cost effective end to their life?

If the cost of ending the life of the elderly and sick is deemed more cost efficient under a government run “healthcare plan,” this same government that aborts babies will not flinch at giving the needle to the sick and elderly.

We are living in a nation where human life has become a cheap commodity.

It has become effortless to throw human life away before it ever appears in our world through abortion.

It is becoming easier to discard those individuals that are seen as worthless and as being a drain on society.

Might we be headed down the path of some European countries? Best selling author Michael Fumento reports the following startling statistics.

In the Netherlands, which has a policy of legalized euthanasia, in 1990 alone there were 11,800 euthanasia deaths.

These accounted for 9% of the total deaths in the Netherlands that year.

In other words, nearly 1 out of every 10 people who died in the Netherlands in 1990 died by euthanasia, at the hands of a doctor, a nurse, or a family member.

Of these 11,800 deaths, some 5,491 were performed without the patient’s consent!
Are we as a Christian nation going to allow this to happen?

We are going to be powerless to stop it unless we see Life as a precious gift of God. Every single life is special. Every life is an act of the creative hand of God.

I drive a school bus here in Hall County. Recently I had a student come to me on the bus with tears streaming down his face and tell me his mom said he was a mistake.

I told that young boy that God loved him and had a plan and a purpose for his life.

This is a prime example of the thought process that so Americas have today regarding life.

Sadly many Americans who call themselves Christians hold the same view, by there actions or lack thereof in regards to abortion.

If we are ever going to stop the holocaust of abortion, and the coming onslaught of euthanasia, in this country the attitude of devalued human life must change.

It is time that the American people demand a human life amendment to the Constitution. We must protect the life of the unborn, elderly, sick and the mentally ill.

If we fail to do this we are all endanger from an out of control federal government.

It is time that we let the voice of the aborted cry out from the grave stop the holocaust.

I rest assured of one thing the millions of aborted babies are sitting at the feet of Jesus in heaven today!

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled!

John chapter 14 verses 1-7 has always been one of my favorite passages in the Bible. It records the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus as His disciples are at the lowest time in their lives.

Jesus has just foretold of His impending death on the Cross. He has told of one of His disciples selling Him out for thirty pieces of silver. He told Peter how that he would deny Him not one time but three times.

The disciples where heart broke and troubled at all that the Lord had told them. Many times we find ourselves in a similar situation.

The world is caving in around us the storms of life beat us down, we feel overwhelmed.

It is then that our Lord speaks to us in that still small voice that only He can do.

He comes to us and says, "Let not your heart be troubled.” Oh what sweet words of comfort these are. Only Jesus can speak these words.

An American tourist visited the 19th century Polish rabbi, Hofetz Chaim.

He was astonished to see that the rabbi's home was only a simple room filled with books, plus a table and a bench, the tourist asked, "Rabbi, where is your furniture?"
"Where is yours?" replied the rabbi.

"Mine?" asked the puzzled American. "But I'm a visitor here. I'm only passing through." "So am I," said Hofetz Chaim.


Allow me to remind you that this world is not our home and that we are just passing through.
That is what the Lord was telling His disciples.

We live in a world that does not offer the child of God much hope or encouragement.

With sin, crime and ungodliness abounding everywhere, it is easy to become discouraged, disillusioned and disappointed.

That is why it is important for us to remember where we are going! I am going to Heaven someday, Are you?

Christmas at school!

I sat an listened in amazement tonight at the PTO meeting at my daughters school as they opened in prayer.

This was not a generic pre written prayer as is so often the case in many settings.

This a was personal prayer prayed from the heart of a man truly in tune with God . What a breath of fresh air. I could not help but think, all it would take is for one person to complain and that would be the end of that.

My excitement soon turned to disappointment.

I sat an listened to my daughter along with the other children perform their "Holiday Musical". They did an outstanding job lots of hard work went into this performance and it showed.

As I sat and listened I noticed something missing, there were no " Christmas Songs".

They where all what you would call "Holiday Songs" They where great I loved them, and the kids where awesome.

It just amazed me how far we have fallen in our public government controlled schools.

Not many years ago when I was Regan's age we sang "Christmas Songs" at school.

I guess it should not amaze me, after all we are living in a "politically correct" America.

A college football playoff?

I love college football always have. The excitement surrounding college football is a notch above that of any other sport. Families and friends are often at odds over college football.

A good example of that is the good old fashion hate between Georgia and GA Tech. A real Georgia fan will never pull for a Tech team, not even if they play the hated Gators!

It is in the blood of the Georgia fan that bleeds red and black. Tech is a despised enemy! They are the "wanna bee" of the North AVE Trade School!

That same hate is seen on the part of the Alabama an Auburn rivalry. The two teams just plain hate each other! There is nothing wrong with this hate, it is just old fashion football in the south home of the best college football in America.

With that said there is something wrong with college football in America today that needs to be corrected.

It became plainly obvious last night as I sat and watched Nebraska robed of their victory over the Texas Longhorns.

Is Texas a good football team? Sure they are, you go undefeated 13-0 you are a good football team. Are they worthy of a berth in the National Championship game?

Yes maybe! The question however is this, why not TCU, Boise State or Cincinnati? They are undefeated. Many would say they have not played a tough schedule. Should that matter?

You be the judge the last time Boise State played Okalahoma in a bowl game they shocked the college football world by beating them. Do you remember last year? Utah knocked off the number two team in the SEC Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.

The time has come in college football to put some sort of play off in place. Until that happens we will never really know who the best team in college football is.

Alabama is clearly playing like the best team in College football. Who is the worthy opponent?

Being a DAWG fan it is hard to admit that the Gators the team Alabama beat soundly might l be the 2nd best team in college football.

Could Texas or the other teams mentioned above beat the Gators in a play off? I doubt it! If a play off where in place: we very well might see, an Alabama versus Florida rematch. Who would come out on top if a play off where in place sadly will remain elusive yet another year!

Americas Worst Enemy

I love America, and make no apology for doing so. I am a patriot. I enjoy her freedoms, especially in being free to worship the true and living God.

I still believe the United States is the greatest country on the face of the earth. I love America, but I don’t like the direction she is heading in.

We have turned our back on God who has blessed America beyond comparison. So what is the real danger facing our nation?

Might our country actually be facing God’s judgment for its offenses against him?

If so, who is at fault? I believe terrorism is a great threat to the USA. I do not however believe it is our greatest threat.

I know we have powerful enemies around the world, but the most powerful are much closer by. Yes, evil exists and is growing rampantly.


Nikita Khrushchev made this statement before the U.N. in the early years of the Cold War. "America will fall without a shot being fired. It will fall from within."

I fear no truer words have ever been spoken about America.

It is not confined to the part of the world we think it is. I believe America’s greatest threat is not from without but from within. We are ourselves are our worst enemy and I am convinced that God is generally displeased with us as a nation.

We in America have legalized the killing of the unborn in the name of choice. Now we are headed for the euthanasia of our senior citizens when they are deemed to old or to sick.

We have allowed the homosexual agenda to take root in our nation with the legalization of same sex marriage in some states. Many other states may soon follow their lead.

We are no longer in many towns able to display a manger scene at Christmas. Many schools have outlawed the signing of Christmas songs that make mention of Jesus.

The National Endowment for the Arts with the help of tax payer money displays a cross suspended upside down in a jar of the artis turine in a New York Museum.

The list could go on and on!

The prophet Micah in chapter 3 is warns us about something.

He wants his nation to know that the God they serve is not only a God of love, mercy, and grace, but also a God of judgment…and though God would rather bless and demonstrate love, and continue to extend His grace and mercy, that there does indeed come a time when, because of sin and rebellion, God’s patience is exhausted.

Eventually God will give a nation or an individual what they are demanding. It happened in the pre-diluvian world of Noah’s time, and again at Sodom and Gomorrah.

It even happened to God’s people, Israel. Will He make an exception for America?

Micah speaks by the Spirit of God and points a finger at three distinct groups of people and says, “It’s Your Fault!”:

1. Corrupt Politicians
2. Compromising Preachers
3. Complacent People

Micah desperately wants the people to understand that the God who loves sinners still hates sin. And sin must always be judged.

His holiness demands that. Praise God that if you’re saved you will never be judged for your sin; they were judged 2,000 years ago on Calvary’s cross! But that does not mean we can live a careless, haphazard Christian life.

The same Bible which teaches that we will not be judged for our sins also tells us that we will indeed be judged for how faithful we have been. All individuals will one day be judged, and there is such a thing as the judgment of a nation.

Might we facing this in America today? It is time for us to repent and turn back to God!
